I was born and raised in Louisville, KY. I married Betsy in 1993.
I married up! We met at church in 1984 and began dating in 1990. Our son Zee was born in 2004. He's a sports nut, and a video game wizard. Together we love going to Kentucky basketball games. Our daughter Elle was born in 2006. She is an aspiring baker and makes a mean cupcake! She is a fashionista and has subscribed to many online vlogs.
I have had a colorful professional career! I have served as an usher at Church Hill Downs, delivered and assembled baby cribs, mowed lawns, and moved pianos, assembled cars, been a barista, sold cameras, worked for the Housing Authority, audited commercial and residential garbage routes as well as tipped cans, delivered newspapers, stacked granola bars.
But i've never had as much fun or met as many good and crazy people as I have while serving as an ordained pastor for 20+ years! Church Venture is the second new church start I have served as the Lead Pastor.

I led my first song at church at 6 or 7. I was hooked at that point. I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I spent my adolescent and young adult years in choirs, finally graduating from The Ohio State University. After graduation, I spent the next 10+ years working in Sales and Recruiting while raising my daughter. I knew she was watching me and that led me back into music, ultimately His music. I have spent the last 10 years working in different church settings, in preparation for Church Venture.

My husband and I live in Loveland and we absolutely love being on the north east side of Cincinnati. There are many locations, businesses and parks nearby that I absolutely adore! At the risk of giving away some of my top secrets and finding these locations overcrowded do to this post I’d like to tell you about some of the places I like to hang out!
In Loveland I often visit the Splash Park at Home of the Brave Park in Symmes Township on Lebanon Road. I find uninhibited joy dancing around in the water, splashing away my worries while skipping through the sprinklers! Splash Park Tips: Calls the to Township in October will not get them to turn the water back on! Secondly, the more I talk to the kids at the park the quicker the mom’s take them home and I get the whole park to myself!
In Mason I love to hang out at the Wal-Mart on Bowen Drive. The deals! The culture! The Slushi’s! The produce is surprisingly fresh. The seasonal products are on point! Did you know you can do all your Christmas shopping for family, friends, AND yard inflatables all in September? The bakery also has an amazing gluten free sourdough sugar loaf Kosher Challah that I cannot live without!!
I have found a hidden gem in Maineville! Carl A. Rahe Access is a Little Miami River State Park. It’s one of the areas best kept secrets. Wading in the river as the sun sets, having a picnic under a cottonwood tree, or collecting insects in a bottle and sending them to the University of Cincinnati Entomology department for identification are all activities I adore! Shout out to Ph.D. Schlyermen at UC for her ability to let me know which insects are edible and which season they taste better!
